Synopsis:
Slab Metropolis is an anarchist squatter city within the Sonoran Desert, Southern California. The inhabitants dwell off the grid. Their closest neighbors are the US Navy and Marine Corps, who observe aerial bombing and dwell fireplace within the space. Rob hates espresso – however wakes up at 6am each morning to arrange espresso for the shoppers of his ramshackle web cafe. “Desert Espresso” sketches a heat, intimate portrait of Rob and his buddies, who’re a diversified bunch of colourful, opinionated and troubled characters in “the final free place in America”.
