Yum! Manufacturers is the world’s fast-food conglomerate of the century. Here is how they did it.

Yum! Manufacturers (previously Tricon International Eating places) is an American fast-food firm. Yum operates the licensed manufacturers Taco Bell, KFC, Pizza Hut, and WingStreet worldwide.

KFC was based by Colonel Harland Sanders, an entrepreneur who started promoting fried hen from his roadside restaurant in Corbin, Kentucky in the course of the Nice Despair. Sanders recognized the potential of the restaurant franchising idea, and the primary “Kentucky Fried Hen” franchise opened in Utah in 1952.

Taco Bell was based by Glen Bell, who first opened a scorching canine stand known as Bell’s Drive-In in San Bernardino, California in 1946. Pizza Hut was based in June 1958 by two Wichita State College college students, brothers Dan and Frank Carney, as a single location in Wichita, Kansas. PepsiCo acquired Pizza Hut in 1977.
